They are responsible for a number of on-site tasks, such as removing debris and assisting with operating heavy equipment, and follow construction plans from supervisors. Some construction workers work at great heights or outdoors in all weather conditions.

Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards, and by digging trenches, backfilling holes, or compacting earth to prepare for construction.
